Faded & Found: Gilded Rebellion is a series of figurative abstract paintings inspired by one of my mom's photo albums from the 1970s. Looking through those pages, I was struck by the sense of freedom and raw self-expression in every frame. More than anything, I could feel the connection among her friends—a specific kind of intimacy that felt both rebellious and incredibly bold.
Dancing with the Waves, 2026 a winter beach day in Cape May and a private moment of pure enchantment. My mom dancing along the shoreline (most likely Grant Street Beach), oblivious to the crashing winter surf behind her. She is under the spell of a love that keeps her warm, completely swept away in her own world. Rendered in oil, acrylic, spray paint, metal leaf, marker on canvas.
